ReplyDeleteThis turned out great - good to see you pushing this concept of looking at two extremes into the physical construction of your work. You're also starting to hit on the other desire you've talked about which is to somehow alter the viewers experience of your work by controlling how they move through the space. In order to view this piece fully, viewers are forced to walk around it, changing the physical relationship of their body to the piece.
I'm assuming you're next step is to play with the hunting/vegan images in this format. If so, something to think about: what does it mean that in order to view one side of this fully we have to block out the other? and, when looking straight on (investigating the middle of this scale) the subject matter is completely incomprehensible..
